Ankle boot heel 5 split suede abisso

L'Arianna women's ankle boot in waterproof abisso blue suede, with a 5 cm heel. Suede is leather that has been buffed on the flesh side, meaning the inner side: it has a soft nap and a matte surface. The waterproof treatment makes it more resistant than ordinary suede to light rain and splashes, the weak point of this leather in winter use. Abisso blue is a very deep midnight blue: in artificial light it reads almost as black, and the blue emerges in daylight, especially where the suede's nap changes direction. The toe is slightly squared and closed by a stitched toe cap (cap toe), which divides the toe from the rest of the upper with a clean line. The shaft is 16 cm high and fits snugly up above the ankle, with no folds or decorations. A curved seam on the back marks the heel counter, the reinforcement that keeps the heel in place. The zip on the inner side allows it to be put on and taken off without straining the instep, leaving the outer side clean, the only one visible when walking. The 5 cm heel is slim and covered in the same suede as the upper: it lifts the heel just enough to elongate the figure, while remaining comfortable for an entire day. Inside, the lining is leather and the insole is natural-colored leather. The sole is leather, with a rubber insert under the forefoot and a rubber heel lift. The leather lets the foot breathe, while the rubber provides grip where weight is concentrated. Despite the waterproof treatment, it's best to brush the suede dry after use to keep the nap even. Abisso blue takes the place of black without its harshness. With dark denim, grey flannel trousers or a camel coat, the fitted ankle boot can be worn under straight-leg or flared trousers, which leave the toe visible.
