Ballet flat with crossed straps, black

Tamaris women's ballet flat in black leather, with a pointed toe and crossed straps over the instep. The ballet flat is the low, scooped shoe with an almost non-existent heel. Here the toe is tapered, lengthening the line of the foot, while the classic ballet flat has a rounded toe. The two straps are slim and start from opposite sides of the vamp. They cross in an X over the instep and fasten with a small rectangular gold-tone metal buckle on the outer side. The upper is in smooth leather, with the vamp finished by visible top-stitching. Compared to a single strap, the crossed straps distribute the hold across two points of the instep. The shoe stays secure at the heel without pinching at a single point, and the vamp can stay low-cut without the flat slipping off while walking. The heel is a small 1 cm block: the foot sits almost flat, with a slight lift under the heel that makes the stride less flat than a completely heel-less sole. At the back, the upper rises to a height of 7 cm and wraps around the heel. Inside, the lining is in burgundy-colored fabric. The insole is in leather and synthetic material, non-removable, with cushioning that Tamaris calls TOUCH IT. The sole is in synthetic material, with fine ribbing across the entire footbed. The heel cap has a non-slip tread, indicated by the "Anti Slide" print on the heel. The pointed-toe ballet flat with crossed straps works as a flat alternative to the pump: pair with tailored ankle-length trousers, straight jeans with a cuff, or midi skirts in wool or silk. The gold buckle is the only pop of color: it pairs well with jewelry or accessories in the same warm tone.
