With its unmistakable classic Dr. Martens silhouette, the 1460 Smooth 8-eye boot is made entirely of black leather with a slightly brushed effect. Mounted on the unparalleled iconic sole, this boot offers exceptional comfort combined with a classic and even elegant style.

This unisex boot is crafted with all the classic Doc DNA, including grooved sides, heel loop, and yellow stitching. Built to last, the boot is made using one of the best construction methods: the Goodyear Welt – meaning the upper and sole are stitched together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch. This model is mounted on the iconic AirWair™ sole, resistant to oils and fats, with good abrasion and slip resistance.

Upper: 100% Leather – Lining: 75% Fabric / 25% Leather – Sole: 100% PVC

Material: Ultra durable and famously stiff at first, our Smooth leather can be polished to an elegant shine or skillfully scratched depending on your preferences.

Care Instructions: Clean dirt with a damp cloth and let dry, then apply a Dr. Martens wax-based polish, either clear or colored as appropriate, using a Dr. Martens shoe brush (the "Neutral" polish can be applied to all colors). Let dry, then vigorously buff to the desired shine using a second clean Dr. Martens shoe brush (for best results, we recommend using two brushes per color: one to apply the polish and a second, dry and clean, to buff the leather).

Construction: This is a Goodyear welted product. Unlike many shoes, the upper and sole are not simply glued but heat-sealed and held together by stitching.
